We have appreciated the emails you have sent keeping us in the picture as things unfold with the Covid-19. While we don’t have anything booked or planned at the moment, we’ll be keen to do some more travel once this chaos subsides. In my 20 years of buying annual international flights with Thor Travel, no other flight agency or online ticket purchase compares to their pre-sales, post-sales, and mid-trip service. Thor know all the right rules, paperwork, forms, and clearances you need to travel safely and efficiently. Once, my friend bought an online ticket to travel with me (while I travelled through Thor) and visa restrictions changed. Thank God Sandra sent me an email and was available by phone to sort out the necessary paperwork!
Next time, my friend booked through Thor! Also, in cases of EMERGENCY, you will wish you booked with an agency like Thor, because they are always ready to go above and beyond to help you wherever you are. Also, when you call them, a human picks up the phone. I always price check with other flight agencies and Thor’s transits and flight options are always the best that are available. Last year, my partner went to a different travel agency “because it was closer”. They gave him a 25-hour stopover in Perth by accident!! When I went to price check with Thor Travel, Sandra picked up on this error immediately and found a cheaper AND more comfortable flight option WITH shorter transits!
Now, my partner always buys through Thor Travel too. Also, many years ago when my friend suddenly passed away, Tashi stayed in the office until after hours just to get EMERGENCY flights home to be with the family. I’ll never forget this and I’ve never found this kind of service elsewhere. Buying directly online simply does not give you this kind of service and assurance. If you are travelling, GO WITH THOR TRAVEL.
My relationship with Thor Travel goes back nearly 25 years and the agency has never failed to deliver. Whether assisting in the planning of our own trips, or participating in one of Thor Travels much acclaimed escorted tours, the service has always been of the highest professional standard. My late husband and I had many memorable holidays in exotic and fascinating places, every trip enhanced by Tashi and/Sandra’s excellent local knowledge and personal contacts.
However, the real test of a top rate travel agency, is how it responds when things go wrong. Thor is in a class of its own in such circumstances and certainly proves the point that it pays to give your custom to such an accomplished team. We had our share of upsets, such as last minute cancellation for medical reasons, and Thor took all the stress from us by negotiating with the insurance company at a time when we were quite overwhelmed.
